Maryhaven’s Homeless Services
Maryhaven logoMaryhaven’s Homeless Programs strive to offer homeless men, women and families places of refuge, support services, and opportunities to begin making changes and restore their lives.  Maryhaven provides programs and support services for men, women and families struggling with homelessness and addictive and mental illnesses.

Maryhaven provides the following programs for homeless men, women and families:

The Engagement Center at Maryhaven is designed to provide a refuge for public inebriated homeless men and women and to offer them the opportunities to begin making changes to rebuild their lives. The center shelters 42 men and 8 women per night. There is 24 hour medical care and the center is open 365 days a year.

Individuals must meet the following criteria for admission:

  • Male or female
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Transported by Reach Out Workers or Safety Officers
  • Permanently or temporarily without a home
  • Publicly under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs

The Maryhaven Outreach Program, as part of Critical Access to Housing, focuses on housing first for those homeless persons living in places not meant for human habitation.

Commons at Chantry support services team is a partner in the Community Shelter Board's Rebuilding Lives Program.  This team provides case management services to formerly homeless, men, women and families.
